In an effort to prevent an H1N1 outbreak, LSUS recently provided free, on-campus vaccinations to students and employees.

Two hundred ninety two students turned out to take advantage of the inoculation which was available from March 1-3 in the University Center.

The Almagest recently took a poll about safety on campus and only 37% of respondents feel very safe on campus. Students have always been a target for crime, and college campuses are often an easy target for criminals. Although campus police serve to protect students, the students themselves need to know how to ensure their own safety.

A new cutting edge technology called 3-D Printing was explored last Friday by the director of the Animation and Visual Effects Program, John Miralles, MFA. 3-D printing enables students and faculty to print physical models of designs that were created with computer software.

curry tofu

Olive oil-1 tablespoon

Butter-1 tablespoon

Garlic-3 cloves, chopped

Onion-½ each, sliced

Extra firm tofu-14 ounce package

Coconut milk-13.5 ounce can

Cilantro-¼ cup, minced

Curry Powder-1 tablespoon

Cajun Seasoning-to taste

Black pepper-to taste

Hot chili sauce-1-2 teaspoons
