The Almagest focuses on promoting the art of communication through weekly publications. By incorporating
The Almagest into the mass communications curriculum at Louisiana State University in Shreveport, students receive a hands-on experience with journalism that includes deadlines, research, writing, editing, design/layout tactics and networking. The staff works to enhance the LSUS community by providing up-to-date information and a user friendly newspaper that features investigative and breaking news stories, weekly recipes, theater reviews, photo spreads and much more.
