In recent days Congressional Republicans have seen fit to criticize President Obama over his reticence to make any strong comments concerning the disputed presidential election and the violence in the streets of Iran. Although the political and social upheaval in Iran will not be concluding anytime soon there are several reasons why it makes more sense for America to stand back and not be seen as interfering in the politics of another country, especially one with the ability and the aptitude to be so hostile to America and global American influence.
